Elevate / Free Ableton Live script / Beta 0.9
Turn your deck
into a live studio.
The drawing below works like the real thing. Spin a jog wheel, turn a knob, tap a pad. With Elevate, your own DJ controller does the same in Ableton Live.
- 01Get startedWhat Elevate does to your deck, in three short chapters.
- 02SetupFive flip cards, from download to your first beat.
- 03HelpFixes for the six things that usually go wrong.
- 04TestThe software is an instrument. Play it here, with sound.
- 05Find your softwarePick your brand and model, then download or ask for it.
Get started
01 / Get startedElevate keeps your controller physical and gives every part of it a job in Ableton Live. Three chapters, about two minutes.
One deck. More possibilities.
Nothing moves onto the screen. You still use the jog wheels, pads and faders. They just build a track now instead of mixing one.
From DJ to studio.
- 01 / Input Deck The controller you already have.
- 02 / Process FX Eight macro knobs per instrument. Sixteen with SHIFT.
- 03 / Repeat Loop Record loops of 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars.
- 04 / Trigger Sample Four pad modes, four sounds each. That's a full 16-pad kit.
- 05 / Output Live studio A finished track, recorded as you play it.
Made to be played.
You already know
where everything is.
Elevate doesn't scramble your controller. PLAY is still under your thumb and the jog wheel still turns. What changes is what they do: the pads trigger drums, the faders set levels in Ableton, and the right deck records whatever you just played.
Setup
02 / SetupFive cards take you from download to your first beat. Tap a card to flip it over.
Help
03 / HelpThe six problems people run into most, and how to fix each one. Tap a card for the fix.
